Our Mission

The Lyons City Animal Shelter is a division of the Lyons Police Department in the City of Lyons, Georgia. The Lyons Animal Shelter is state-regulated, and works with local agencies such as SOAPS to ensure the safe rehoming of abandoned neglected pets. We encourage responsible pet ownership where the relationshop between the pet and the owner is mutually beneficial.

• Volunteers are always welcome!
• We accept donations of monetary value or food
• To adopt, please call to make an appointment first.
• Always remember to Spay and Neuter

Reminder Alerts

• Please be aware that the Lyons Animal Shelter covers the City of Lyons, Georgia and all of Toombs County
• We enforce the leash law that is currently in place not only for the city of Lyons, Georgia; but for the entire county.
• We issue citations for animals at large, for aggressive animals, and neglect. (which are reported to the Lyons PD)
