Lyons Police Department

The Lyons Police Department wishes to hire qualified candidates for open patrol officer positions immediately. We are accepting applications from Georgia P.O.S.T certified peace officers. Interested candidates must fill out an employment application at lyonsga.org.  No applications will be taken at the Lyons Police Department or Lyons City Hall.  If chosen, you will be asked to complete an evaluation process before hiring. The interview process includes the following steps:

• Application
• Background Investigation
• Initial Interview
• Law Enforcement Aptitude Test
• Formal Interview
• Medical and Physical Evaluation
• Offer Interview

The Lyons Police Department offers a comprehensive benefits package that is competitive.  Other benefits include moving expense reimbursement of up to $2,000 and take-home vehicles. (restrictions may apply).
